The City of Angels!

Bangkok is one of my favourite places to visit on this road trip.

Why?

Because of the food and shopping!

Bangkok is a really crowded city so if you are planning to go there by car, remember to have a really updated GPS. Our GPS actually lead us the wrong way and we got stuck in a traffic jam for an hour but we managed to find our hotel in the end.
  

But the sad thing is we arrived in Bangkok late in the afternoon and most of the shopping complexes close at around 5-7pm which we didn't know until we got there.

 The bartender at our hotel advised us to visit Chatuchak Market but we were there on a weekday so we couldn't :( But fret not! I'll be back one day!

 My brother pattern banyak wanted a picture of him sitting and reading. Said he looked like a rich guy enjoying in his beautiful home.

Got fake Ray-Ban sunglasses that look genuine for only 100baht at Chaing Rai.

Day 3 in Thailand was spent exploring the outside of the city.

Hearty breakfast before going on the road

The first place we visited in the morning was the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple aka the golden temple.

There is actually a cable car that takes you up to the top of the temple but we felt kinda adventurous and climbed the stairs instead. 

One thing you need to remember is to wear long pants that cover your knees as respect. Most temples will provide robes for you to cover but this temple doesn't.

Saw this super adorable little girl at the end of the steps and took a picture with her. After that all she said was money... money... money... wtf?!

Just a typical toilet in Thailand. I just find the sign very amusing.

This is how we spent most of our lunches; at gas stations and 7-11s.

Next was visiting the elephant farm. We drove to two elephant farms but they were past the show time and feeding time or either the elephants were resting so we had to leave and search for the next one.

Finally found the third which was opened - Maetaeng Elephant Park
