Eggxtra

00:55

The bf and I went to Eggxtra Monday night because we didn't know where to go and what to have for dinner and since we had not been to this place so why not give it a try. We first knew about this place through instagram. The first impression I had of this place was that it was so cute, bright and cozy.

You can know from the name of the place that their main meals are breakfast but the bf and I were there for dinner instead.

Told you it was cute.
Just look how much attention they pay to the design of the place.

We had the Eggxtra salad and apple tea for the bf and "Mulan" for me.
The apple tea was just normal iced tea with apple flavouring but the Mulan was sooooooooo good. The drink was a mixture of dragon fruit, apple and orange.

The salad was actually surprisingly good or maybe we were just too hungry because it was our first meal of the day. Anything tastes good when you're hungry.
We both woke up late, went to our classes then to the hospital to visit the bf's cousin and it was already dinner time.

My fettuccine carbonara
Nothing special about it; the carbonara was undercooked and the sauce was too creamy for my liking.

The bf's aglio-olio with chicken ham.
I should have ordered this. It tasted way better than mine. :/

The bf and I stayed at the place for more than an hour because it was that comfortable and cozy.

Post birthday dinner

17:06

The bf promised to take me to Halia Inc. for a post birthday dinner since we had a wonderful time the first time we went there a few months ago. The food was fantastic and the service was really good. So I was actually expecting a lot from the restaurant the second time round.

I was really excited when the bf said he was bringing me there last Wednesday (even though my birthday was a month a go) after a movie. We watched a movie then shopped a little before heading over to the restaurant.

I like how the restaurant is industrial-themed yet cozy at the same time
A nice place to have coffee.

Anyone fancy a game of pool?
Couldn't have said it any better :)

Time for food pics!

Cheese Cake
The bf said must order a piece of cake because it was a post birthday dinner but this was the last cake they had. However I like that they didn't use a lot of sugar so it was not overly sweet.

What I ordered - Halia Inc Chicken Chop

What the bf ordered -  Asam Stingray with rice
We were both very disappointed with this dish. The soup was spicy but had no depths to it and the stingray was overcooked.

The bf's drink - Unlimited flow of ice lemon tea complimentary of the asam and rice set.
I had iced mocha but not pictured.

The food was kinda bland and the waiter and waitress kept forgetting the bf's drink even though we reminded them a few times. And when the food was served, the didn't give us utensils until we asked.
Overall I was kinda disappointed with the food and service or maybe just that I expected too much but I think I won't be back for the food but maybe for the coffee and cakes.

After dinner, the bf and I went to order coffee from Starbucks before heading home.

However if you would like to visit the restaurant, here are the details:
