Went to KL on Saturday with Qi and Yuki.
I was meaning to blog this a lot earlier but I kept procrastinating and then somewhat forgotten about it. ><
Wanted to blog this last week when I though I was already free from exams and assignments but then the lecturers gave us even more assignments to do. sigh..
Not yet done with all the assignments but at least I got time to blog now.
Anyways, back to the topic.
Bon Odori (盆踊り), meaning simply Bon dance is a style of dancing performed during Obon.The theme for this year's Bon Odori which wan held on 11th July was Arigatou Malaysia.
In Malaysia, Bon Odori Festivals are also celebrated every year in Penang and at the Matsushita Corp Stadium in Shah Alam, Selangor. . In comparison to the celebrations in Japan, the festival is celebrated on a much smaller scale in Penang and Selangor, and is less associated with Buddhism and more with Japanese culture.
