Sabah Trip - Last day in Sabah

02:58

Finally finishing up on my Sabah trip posts.
Can't imagine it actually took me 3 months to update it all. I procrastinate too much. >___<

Being in Sabah for the last day, we got out to explore the town once again before heading home.
But before that, we had to have brunch first.

We went to an Italian restaurant called Little Italy which was one of my dad's friend's recommendations. He told us it was a must-go-to-place to eat at.

Wide selection of pastas to choose from the menu

Cappuccino

I don't really remember the name of the drink but I  do remember it was Mocha something something.

This was the best spaghetti. I think it was Mediterranean spaghetti but unfortunately my dad didn't want me to take photo of his food. -___-

Verdure E Pollo Spaghetti

Seafood Risotto

My sister's farfalle with Quattro Formaggi sauce. It looks very plain but the cream sauce contains four different kinds of cheeses.

The cheese lover

Definitely a place worth trying!

We headed of to Signal Hill Observatory Tower after brunch.

Sabah Trip - Desa Cattle Farm

06:25

I'm back (again)!

I know I've not blogged for the past two weeks but I have a really good explanation for that. It's just that I've been really busy with assignments and midterms lately. My schedule for this semester is like really hectic and I think I'm suffocating a bit, but nonetheless I'll find time to blog whenever I have free time. I'm not gonna abandon my blog so soon.

I know these Sabah trip posts are like taking forever but this will be the second last post of this trip (woohoo!). I'm quite relieved that I'm gonna finish posting about this trip soon because I've got a lot a blog posts drafted to be published.

This time we went to Desa Cattle Farm.
We were all very excited to visit the farm because my mom told us we'd be milking the cows. We thought we would we milking the cows but in the end, the machines did all the milking. :(

Moo~~~

omg! Black and white cows!
Yes, I've never seen b/w cows before. I've only seen brown cows. -___-

The machines they used to process the milk

Milk fresh from the farm

I love being in the countryside!

It was cold

My sister was looking for four-leaf clovers but no luck though

Spot the cows in the field?

Drinking milk in front of the cows >.<

After visiting the farm, I somehow wished that I could own a farm like this and live there. Living the simple life with peace and quiet, but I'd admit I wouldn't be able to live without the luxury of technology. X)

After the farm, we just drove on until we arrived at Sutera Sanctuary Lodges. It's the place where people stayed if they wanted to visit Kinabalu Park. We didn't stayed there though, because we didn't have enough time and we were about to go home the next day. But we'll be back, one day.

The view from the lobby. Can't see anything because it was raining and very cold.

Sabah Trip - Poring Hot Springs

17:24

People kept telling us that this was a must-visit place in Sabah

The weather was actually not that hot, just that the sun was shinning too bright.

The hot springs were full because it was a public holiday the day we went there so we hiked up to the waterfalls instead.

I'm wearing slippers to hike

Finally reached the waterfalls after a 10 minute hike!

Though the sun may be high up and bright, it doesn't feel hot at all.
But I kinda miss the heat of the sun by that time.

Just look how clear the water is!
You can even see the little fishes!

Time to hike back down!

Entrance fees to the hanging bridges.
Camera fees are more expensive than the entrance fee. =___=
But why miss the chance? Since we won't not be coming back here (maybe in 10 years or so).

I shouldn't have worn slippers to hike
=________=

The guide told us that it would take us about an hour to reach the hanging bridges.
We reached in half an hour (without stopping for breaks)!
It rained while we were hiking but the rain stopped after we reached the hanging bridges

We were about 600m above ground

Back to the hot springs

The pools

The view while we were in the hot springs

We weren't in the hot springs for long because the place was too crowded so we left  the place after 5 minutes in the hot springs. :(
